On 30 Octobre 2006, Profs. Isabella Screpanti, Antonio F. Campese, Fiona Powrie and Joseph Penninger, partners in Euro-Thymaide project, co-organised a Workshop on development and functions of Immune System and the new insights from the study of mouse models.
This meeting, organised in Rome, gathered several scientists who study these models in immune pathways and factors controlling the immune systems, such as for instance, the balance between different effectors and regulatory T cells.
The conference was attended by high level International scientists and clinicians.
Excellent presentations were given on new results and development of novel approaches to overcome immunological dysfunctions using mouse models.
The organisers acknowledged the European Commission for having co-financed this thematic seminar through the Euro-Thymaide project (see attached Brochure).
The event was also sponsored by an entrepreneurial biotech SME, Miltenyi Biotec S.r.l. (Italy).
