At the occasion of the third Annual assembly in Vienna, Euro-Thymaide has organised a Training Day for early stage researchers on 30 November 2006.
Co-organized by prof Josef Penninger , partner in Eurothymaide,
The event took place at the headquarters of IMBA.
The objectives were to gather the young researchers collaborating in Euro-Thymaide and present their work in oral presentationns of 15 min and in posters as an exercise in the presence of all the consortium members.
It was also the occasion for these young researchers to be given the opportunity to broaden their contacts for their future career.
The 15 presentations obtained high marks from the consortium participants.
Two researchers were awarded a prize for the best research presentation.
The two ex-aequo are:
Mrs Janine COOMBES, Wolfson College, University of Oxford, UK,
for her presentation of "Immune regulatory properties of muscosal CD103+ dendritic cells"
andMrs Stefanie LOESER, IMBA for her presentation untitlied "The Role of Cbl-b in tumor Immunity".
The Euro-Thymaide Assembly warmly congratulated these two researchers.
The assembly expects to build on this successful experience so that other collective and individual training opportunities will be organised in the course of 2007.
